It seems to be a part bug and part intentional. Help, The Gates To Mothers Cradle Are Locked! Once you have located them all, head back to the lab.

POWER CELLS HORIZON ZERO DAWN PUZZLE HOW TO
The video guide below will show you how to get them all. You likely already have 1, so 4 left to go. I got very excited thinking I had cheated the system only needing to find 2.

Before you get excited thinking you have found a glitch, you only need 2 cores to open the door and a further 3 to release the armor from the clamps that lock it into place.

To start, you will need to find all the power cells. In order to complete the ancient armory quest, you will need to locate 5 ancient power cells and then you will have to solve a puzzle to gain access.Īfter finding the first power cell, you will be guided to the lab where the armor is located, but you will not be able to gain access. This quest is most definitely worth completing as it will give you access to, what some would consider, the best armor in the game. There are 5 of them, so assuming you have one, you will now have the ancient armory quest. You will likely pick this quest up when you discover your first ancient power cell. There is also a puzzle to solve once you find all of the collectibles. This quest will likely be triggered when you locate a Power Cell. In order to get this armor, you must complete a quest called Ancient Armory. The Shield Weaver Armor cannot be purchased from a merchant like other armor in the game can. It will help a lot with some of the harder battles in the game. When compared to the other “modern” armor in the game, this ancient armor is really great and should definitely be something you obtain as soon as you can. It can absorb a lot of damage and it looks pretty cool. Some will regard the Shield Weaver Armor as the best armor set that you can get in Horizon Zero Dawn. It is a rare inventory item that takes some work to obtain. The cell will be on a shelf on the righthand sidewall. The Shield Weaver armor is an advanced armor set that was created by the ancients. Drop down to the ledge near the mushrooms and have Aloy head to the purple-lit room. Once down on the first bar, Aloy can climb her way off to the left. During this, or after, Aloy should make sure to not take the zipline in GAIA Prime and instead walk to the right and close enough to the edge that she is given the option to drop down. GAIA Prime Power Cell: This power cell is available for Aloy to find after she completes The Mountain That Fell quest. The power cell will be on the right side of this edge. After this, Aloy should climb to the very top of the Maker's End ruined skyscraper until she is given the option to repel. Maker's End Power Cell: This cell can only be found after Aloy completes the Maker's End questline. To get to this power cell, Aloy will need to solve a three-part puzzle before climbing up the ledge to where it is. This power cell cannot be found until the Grave Hoard questline has started. Grave Hoard Power Cell: In the northeastern end of the map there is a bunker called the Grave Hoard. Instead of following Teersa go straight for the locked door, Aloy can pass by it by squeezing through a small opening to the left. This power cell can be found during the Womb of the Mountain quest. Once through the doorway, the power cell will be obvious to spot.Īll-Mother Mountain Power Cell: Directly after the Proving is over, Aloy wakes up in the All-Mother Mountain. Now, as an adult, however, she can knock the growths down with her melee attacks. Prologue Power Cell: In this bunker, there will be a doorway that is blocked by stalactites and stalagmites that Aloy couldn't pass as a child. The power cell will not be there when she is a child, but once she is an adult and able to fully explore the vast plains of the map she can return for this one. The first and easiest one of the five to find is the one in the bunker Aloy finds as a child. The five power cells needed as the key to unlocking the armory can be found alongside certain quests for the fastest and easiest way to snatch them up.
